In Thes. 5:16-18, the Word tells us, "Always be joyful and never stop praying. Whatever happens, keep thanking God because of Jesus Christ. This is what God wants us to do."
There are three points here to remember:
1) Always be joyful.
2) Never stop praying.
3) Be thankful in all circumstances.
Put a different way, no matter what the circumstances of our lives, we are to stay joyful.
Don't worry or fret and don't despair. Keep hope alive and look for the positive side to stay joyful.
No matter how good things are or how grave, keep praying.
Be thankful, both outwardly and in your prayers. Even when things go awry, eventually there is good to come out of it, so be thankful in all circumstances.
Lord, these are the truths we know. Let each of us know them so deeply that no matter what comes, we will always choose to be joyful and thankful both in our prayers and in our circumstances, for our circumstances will never tell us who we are. You are our joy; you are our love, you are our totality and our destiny. These are the reasons to be joyful, and why we pray, therefore we always give you thanks and praise. Amen.
