Today's blog is based on John 7:17 and the study following. John 7:17. (Jesus says:)"If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own." The study reads: "Those who attempt to know God's will and do it will know intuitively that Jesus was telling the truth about himself. Have you ever listened to religious speakers and wondered if they were telling the truth? Test them: 1)Their words should agree with and not contradict the Bible; 2) their words should point to God and His will, not to themselves."
Today at our small group held in our home, the group confirmed my desire to blog the lessons learned from the daily Scripture which I am assigned in my journal and the Study which follows that particular daily reading.
I sincerely appreciate their confirmation and will continue blogging when the day's study confirms its "teachability." I had not intended to blog today. Jerry, my husband of 60 years, insisted that I blog today's decision. So be it!
I am choosing to blog as I believe it is God's will for me. What I will try to teach will be those things I need to learn myself. Writing for others what I need to learn will help me to learn. This old dog "needs to learn some important new tricks" before she passes into the Great Beyond.
