When a visiting angel told the Virgin Mary she would have a child in Luke 21:34-37, she said, "How can I have a child, since I am a virgin?" "The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the child to be born will be Holy and will be called the Son of God. For nothing is impossible with God."
"As a human with limited understanding I can identify with Mary's question to the angel. "How could this be? I'm a virgin!" Throughout life we see many instances in which there is no human explanation for the impossible. Yet the impossible happens. People who are facing certain death with terminal diseases suddenly discover they are gone! Someone in a long coma suddenly awakens! We must always remind ourselves that nothing is impossible with God. There are no exceptions or outer boundaries. What God chooses to do is done.
This gift of God has and will continue to be the central belief of my life. God can turn around the most impossible situation for His good use. I may not prefer to go through the struggle to get there, but keeping the faith helps. when the world's pressures keep piling on me, Jesus comes and says, "Don't fear; I'm here with you."
"Lord Jesus, You came to redeem this fallen world, one person at a time. Praise you for this wondrous gift. Amen."
Well, friend, my husband's words are his life, and mine, too. I pray you have the same inclination to know this Jesus and His Father!
