On June 21, Jerry wrote the message I would like to use today, June 22. He called it "God In Charge" and it is taken from 2Chr.20:1, 17, 21. "Do not fear or be dismayed at this great multitude against you, for the battle is not yours, but God's...This battle is not for you to fight; take your position, stand still and see the victory of the Lord on your behalf...for the Lord will be with you...As you go, sing to the Lord and say, 'Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His steadfast love endures forever.'"
"This Scripture is well supported in many places including Jesus' own words We are told to always give thanks to God in all circumstances and to remember the battle is God's not ours. Even when we can't possibly see how a situation will play out, we are to praise God and remember His love is always available for us, if we but call on His Name. God is in charge.--not me! Lord God, I thank you that I can turn over to you all things for your control, not mine. Amen."
I am grateful, too, that Jerry believes in God being in charge. First, that is exactly what I want for us in our lives, too, and secondly, neither one of us is a good being-in-charge- person. And we know it!
We have our own notions on what is workable, but we know only that we can be certain of God's way!
Hope your life is treking along nicely! Stormy day here in MN, weatherwise.
