GLAD TRUST, JOYFUL WORDS, AND HOPE

Acts 2:26 "Because of this (always seeing the Lord near me and not being afraid) my heart will be glad, my words will be joyful, and I will live in hope."

"Luke, in his work of writing the Acts of the Apostles, quoted from a psalm of David.  Christians today can put it another way by changing the words in parentheses.  "Because of Jesus Christ's coming to show us the Father, revealing God's way, my heart will be glad, my words will be joyful, and I will live in hope."

"I am determined to walk in this faith, my heart being glad, living in hope, and trusting God's guidance that my words might be forever joyful, encouraging, and enlightening.  I may never speak another language besides English, but, Lord, I pray that your divine presence in me will speak without words to everyone I meet and that they will encounter you.  May your miracles be in abundance for those who await them and may my desire to know you more be fulfilled in the ways of your choosing.  Amen."

This, I prayed so many years ago.  And to this day, I need to pray this prayer again and again.  He is divine.  I am a mere mortal, full of mortal error.  But, I believe in Him and in His life in me.  May I be less so that He may be More!

And I pass this love of Him on to you, and you, and you.
