YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

Galatians 6:7,8 reads "Do not be deceived; God is not mocked; for you reap whatever you sow.  If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh, but if you sow to the Spirit you will reap eternal life from the Spirit."  It seems to me, this application seems so obvious it shouldn't need to be explained. If you plant corn, there's no chance you will be able to harvest wheat.  If you learn French, you should not expect to suddenly speak Spanish. The thing speaks for itself.  If we seek to follow God, it stands to reason we must make the effort and motions to plant His spirit in our hearts.

"When I move away from God's will for my life, I can be certain that good things, Godly things will never result.  God, the Creator of all things will not be mocked.  I alone must decide; do I submit my will to  God's will?  My eternal destiny and my usefulness to God on this earth hang in the balance.

(And my husband prayed:) "Lord God, give me a heart that seeks to sow seeds of the Spirit in my life. Amen."

When re-reading this old message, I thought of a word God had given me sometime ago regarding my need to be a "better person", worried about my own imperfections.  These are His words to me...
"God isn't measuring your worth.  He is only interested in revealing His worth!" If these words can be  of use to you...wonderful!
