BELIEVE AND SEE!

In Mark 10:5b a blind man says to Jesus. "Masters, I want to see!"

I want to see, too.  We want to see.  We want to see the sky as it turns red and yellow with pink and orange clouds drifting onto the blue of a Minnesota sky.  We want to hold our  children and grand-children and see God in their smiles.  I want to perfectly remember playing with Max,  and see God in the fuzzy, adorable dog who once zipped after his green ball.  We want to see God in the words of Scripture as we read.  We want to see God in the faces of others with whom we pray. We want to see God as we  remember those who have gone before us.  We want to see God in a baby's first tooth, his or her tumble after a first step, and the smile from being given a cherry.  We want to see God everywhere as God is at work in those around us.  We want to see God in our mirrors--and trust God is apparent in our faces to others.

God, you are  everywhere, even in me, and those reading this.  Open our eyes that we might see you, even in an enemy, and may each of us convince the world that You are there, and here, present in all things.  O Master and Lord, Jesus the Christ of all, let us all be like the blind man.  He believed. Then he could see.  Amen.

Seeing is believing.
