HOW DO I LOVE HIM?

Sorry this is so late...


Psalm 31:23a, 24..."All who belong to the Lord, show how you love Him.  All who trust in the Lord, be cheerful and strong."


I belong to the Lord!  How do I show how I love Him?  Do I trust in the Lord?  Am I cheerful?  Am I strong?


God of all, Creator and Lover of my Soul, hear my prayer.  The psalmist says we must all show the world how we love you.  I must show, I want to show this to the world! I know I must, and I want to.  But I can think of nothing I might do to show you how much I love you.  I can think of nothing to say that would be enough.  I can only speak the words you give me, obey the commands you give me, walk the way you are teaching me, and weep and laugh with the friends you send my way.  I can pray for the souls who have hurt me, pray for the weak and helpless, fight for those who are treated unjustly, and bear the pack of the over-burdened.  And yet, if I do all these things, it would not nearly tell you how I love you.  Amen.


I shall live the rest of my entire life hoping I may someday show you my love for you.
