Acts 18:24-28 tells us, "A Jew named Apollos came to Ephesus from Alexandria. He spoke with eloquence..with burning enthusiasm and power, showing the Jews by the scriptures (of the Old Testament) that the Messiah is Jesus."
"When Jesus by the Holy Spirit calls people to Himself they cannot help but speak with burning enthusiasm about what they've seen and heard. The early apostles and disciples who followed Him were no longer frightened or fearful as they witnessed for Him after meeting the risen Christ.
"When Jesus came into my heart and changed me (Jo's husband, Jerry), there was no way I could speak of Him except by burning enthusiasm. And it is still the same today. I cannot wait to share what I've seen and heard with those I meet. (But he no longer wants to use a megaphone!)
Lord, we all thank you for instilling into your believers this burning enthusiasm to tell the world who you are. May we do this through your love and within your plan. Amen.
