Just in case there are readers who are just beginning to read this blog, I want to ask this question once again---What must I do to be saved? This question was first asked in Acts 16:30, 31 when a jailer asked it of Paul and Silas. They answered "Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household."
As Paul, Silas, Timothy, Luke and others traveled about the Mediterranean world, people wanted what they had, the gift of the Holy Spirit of God and assurance of the forgiveness of sin. The apostles told them the simplicity of conversion was a matter of yielding of each human's will to put Christ first above all else and to believe Christ is who he says He is..the Son of God.
This same question exists today. People wonder how some can be set free of the burden of fear, jealousy, greed, malice, etc. As Christians, we must tell them that Jesus is the way--the One and only Way. If we don't believe this,we should not call ourselves Christian, but non-believers in Christ's divinity.
Lord,we thank you for the simplicity of salvation for us humans. It costs us so little because it cost you so much. Amen.
May there be many who read and many to come to know our Lord.
