JO TO CONTROL! COME IN PLEASE!

In Acts 10:44, "While Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit took control of everyone who was listening."


Peter was called through a dream to Cornelius's house.  "Cornelius was a Roman, but he was a believer in Jesus, prayed, and worshiped God.  Poor Peter, having traveled some distance to Cornelius, probably was still somewhat confused about why he was visiting a Gentile.  After all, Peter thought, God in Jesus belonged to the Jews!  So the Holy Spirit took complete control."


"Listen, everyone!  Speak in tongues!  I give you another language!   I am the Lord's Spirit here to acclaim Jesus Christ and all of His teachings to you.  Learn from me! I am the power given by God to you, to teach you to praise, to serve, and to show honor to our loving and Holy God!"


"Wow!  What a gift God has given us, the Gentiles of the world.  What a Holy honor!  What a wonder to be adopted into the family of God through the power of the Holy Spirit!"


Now---How does the Holy Spirit manifest Himself in your life, Jo? And in yours, dear friend?


God, you have set our minds and hearts on fire with your love.  You have graced us with hearts that love others; when we least expect it you fill us with accepting love.  I pray this gift of loving will never be removed from our grasps.  We claim it as our most precious gift from you and offer ourselves, with this love, to be used however and whenever You choose!  Amen.


And you, dear reader, I give my heart to you for you have read what has the most meaning for me in my life and I take a great assumption by assuming that you, too, have found these precious gifts given by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
