NOT A PEEK-A-BOO GOD!

In Acts 17:29 and a bit more, Paul, in Athens,  explained to the people in the open square that the Unknown God is near enough to be known, and he says, "God doesn't play hide and seek with us.  God's not remote; God is near!  We live and move in God; we can't get away from God!  One of your poets said it well, "We're the God-created."  Well, if we are the God-created, it doesn't make a lot of sense to think we would hire a sculptor to chisel a god out of stone for us, does it?"

"I couldn't resist using the passionate words of Paul and had to use them.  "We are God-created!" No stone sculptor for our God, but a human who walked, talked and suffered more in his three years of ministry than most of us will ever have to suffer in a life-time.

"No, God didn't or doesn't play hide and seek.  God is as near to us now as lifting our hands in praise or bowing our heads in prayer.  God is in us through the power of the Holy Spirit, by the grace of Christ Jesus' death on the cross and His resurrection into life everlasting."

Although the above words were used long ago in my first journal, I still praise God for this miracle in my life, and if you feel the same way, I am very glad, and I thank our God for His presence and for this miracle in our lives, both yours and mine.
