In Acts 13, verse 39, it tells us, "Everyone who believes in this "raised-up Jesus" is declared good and right and whole before God."
Believe it! In verses following the above, Paul stresses, "Don't take it lightly!" For it had been prophesied that taken lightly we would become cynical and we would watch our world fall to pieces.
The Word of God speaks for our world today as well as the world when He first spoke. God is for all times, so it behooves us to listen carefully to what He said then as well as what He may now say to you or me.
Never again can I let myself believe--even for a moment--that I am not good and righteous before God! I may act impetuously and imperfectly sometimes, in spite of my desire to be pleasing to God in all ways, but Christ died for my sins--past sins, present sins and future sins--so I am good and righteous, and whole before God because I believe and follow this "raised-up Jesus" and love Him and His people and try to love all He brings into my path just as he loves me. God sees me through the prism of Jesus, therefore through Jesus, I become perfect in God's eyes. WOW!
Lord God, We all thank you for your grace and love. May we each know and love and trust your Holy Spirit to let us know that love is always kind, just, and generous. Amen.
