In Col. 2:2, we find, "I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God. Then you will have minds confident and at rest, focused on Christ, God's great mystery."
Christ--God's great mystery! I don't remember ever having heard that description of Christ before these words. But when you think of it, God in human form is truly amazing! Could God have created a greater act? No, I don't think so.
No wonder some refuse to believe in Christ as the Holy God! Because it is without reason to expect a God to become like us! And yet, it was so! What greater mystery has there ever been or ever will be? None. It would seem to be a fairy tale or fable, like Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, or Spiderman. But, there is not tangible evidence of the works of these, only those of our God.
It is our God who weaves love into our lives, giving living proof of God's existence. And Jesus Christ who did live on this earth and lived this same love with the people of that time, again showing proof of his Godliness by the written history of His miracles.
As we accept these mysteries, we know the truth-- and can see the proof in His love that will forever touch our lives.
Thanks be to God! Amen.
