In Romans 8:15, we read, "The resurrection life I received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It's adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike, "What's next, Papa?"
Yes! This is exactly what I want to be! I want to be "grown-up"! I want to be someone who looks to God for every step in my life! And I don't want to be a worrier that wonders about what that next step might look like!
Well, maybe it's crazy to want to grow up when I'm already well past eighty years old, but it's never too late to learn, is it? I want to be someone who looks to God for very step I have left to take. But there are those moments where old feelings are in charge. Fear sets in, perhaps. Those old habits are quick to set in. So, I must develop a new habit that will do away with the old one. I must ask God, "What's next? I want to ready myself with your power!"
If you are anything like me, you, too, may want to ask God the same question. "What's next, Papa?"
