"In 2 Timothy 2:1A, it says: "You must let Christ Jesus make you strong." Paul writes to Timothy to encourage him. Paul is in prison, speaking about his experience of Christ giving him strength. If I ever pass anything on to another person about God, it would be this: We don't gain strength without the power of Jesus. Only God can give it to us. I know this from past experience. And I also know that to receive God's strength, the strength to do anything, does require something of you and me.
"First, it requires "belief". We must have faith that God will put strength in us for whatever task is ahead that He wills. Have faith that Christ is more than willing and has the power to make us strong. Believe it! or forget it.
"Second, we must not look back to past moments where we lost our strength. Stay positive, firm in your belief. God will give the strength and gifts we need at the appointed time. And pray.
"God, Everlasting Goodness, may I impart to others your desire to make us all strong in whatever way we need your strength. I will not forget from whom my strength comes. Amen."
Still helpful today..those words! Won't you join me in this prayer whenever you feel your strength wavering?
