IF I ONLY WAS A DOG!

"In Philippians 2:6 it reads, "Christ was truly God.  But he did not try to remain equal with God."  This verse says without question that Christ is God, yet somewhat disqualifies the first statement by saying He didn't try to say He was equal to God.  Being all human as well as God, Jesus seems a major impossibility, someone we can't really understand.  But he was 100% human with God tendencies while with humans and he was probably 100% God with God, but able to truly understand humans.  It's hard for my human brain to wrap around this, so maybe my being a dog might help.

"If I am a human that becomes a dog, I would be able to be both dog and human. Although I would look like a dog and bark like a dog, I would be able to understand and think like a human.  Yet, at the same time,  I would understand and act with the nature of a dog. If I did not act with the nature of a dog, other dogs would not want me around.  (And the common people loved having Jesus around, for He understood their needs.)

"God, I am not asking to become a dog, although it might be fun--just waiting around to be petted, sleeping in the sun, or racing to my bowl to eat.  Maybe, I might run away for mischief making and chase the birds.  Yet, I don't think trying to think like a dog has helped me to totally understand you, but I humbly accept all that you are in Jesus and am very glad you are forever Holy and good.  I love you, Father, and I love you, Son, and you too, Holy Spirit!  Amen."

God in Three Persons loves us all!  Amen.
