Isaiah 9:6 reads, "His names will be Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness. His ruling authority will grow, and there will be no limits to the wholeness He brings."
Counseling, strength, like a father, and bringing wholeness-- what a list on God's resume! Plus, God brought more to us by His son, Jesus Christ. There are no limits to the wholeness and peace Christ brings. Think what "no limits" means. It means each of us individually, all people, without any discrimination, will receive wholeness. All people--nations, states and individuals--are capable of incredible relationships with absolutely no limits to the wholeness Christ can--and would--bring.
Think what would happen to the world if we all learned to love each other as Christ advocates.
Why do we hesitate or remain ignorant of this blessed gift? Too busy being self-absorbed? Too busy with our own agendas? Not trusting God in other people? Fearing others of the world who hate?
How can we love people who hate us? I am not sure. But somehow we have to try. It will have to start with those who have been taught how to love the unlovable. It will take millions praying and listening to God and not giving up easily.
God, Prince of Wholeness, reveal yourself to all peoples along with your promise of wholeness for the world. So much depends on all peoples knowing and responding, "Yes!" to You! Beloved One, let me be a part of bringing your love to others in spite of my imperfect "self." Amen.
And you, reader, are you with me?
