TESTED

In the text of Hebrews 4:14 and 15, we read, "Since then, we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God.  Let us hold fast to our confession.  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have One who in every respect has been tested, as we are, yet is without sin.

This passage affirms us that when we are tested by ridicule, pain, adversity, illness, etc., we know that our Savior Jesus had felt those same pangs of pain that we feel. Jesus was very human, yet very God, so He endured without sin.  Jesus never yielded to testing by taking the easy road.  He endured testing to show us how we, too, can endure when we are under fire.

What a great blessing it is to know that what I may experience was also experienced and endured by Jesus.  With His hand in mine, I know nothing is able to be victorious over me.  My job is to be aware and recognize when I am under attack so that I may endure victoriously with the help of my Savior.

Lord Jesus, I praise you for demonstrating endurance and for being tested victoriously. And also, for being with me in my moments of weakness.  Amen.

Anybody else have  this same kind of pain? God be with you!
