THE MASTER'S TOUCH

Hosea 6:2b and 3 says, "We're ready to study God, eager for God-knowledge.  As sure as dawn breaks, so sure is God's daily arrival. God comes as rain comes, as rain refreshing the ground."

Israel finally returns to their loving God, and the people exhort their readiness to be His.

Last night we had quite a storm here in Stillwater, MN. There was fear of tornadoes, but have not heard yet if any hit, as it is early in the morning.  But there was lots of wind and rain.  The  hydrangeas (sp.?) are flattened onto the ground.  I will have to try to straighten them soon.  Other flowers within our garden area seem to have perked up somewhat from the storm.  Like life itself, a storm will flatten some and invigorate others.

I have felt both, but I trust a "storm" will bring new life. Personally, I love the rain, even thunder and lightening.  There is power in rain and even in its accompaniments.  And there is power, too, in knowing and studying God.  Not just studying about God, but studying God.  I hunger to know God in person, and the Son He gave up for us.  I am eager to know more and more.  I see God in the lives of others who seem to say, "Hello!  I'm Jesus with skin on!"  I am eager to see Jesus-God face to face.  But, perhaps even in eternity I will not see God's face, but I believe God's light will be seen, as well as felt, everywhere at that time---that auspicious time.  I am eager for God's touch, finger-tip to finger-tip. Yet, I value every minute God gives me on this earth.

O God, my God.  When I die may I be in You. Amen.
